Forest Bathing and your Wellness…
Forest bathing is a guided, slow walk through the natural environment with the intention of slowing down, immersing and awakening your senses, being present, and the intention of healing body and mind.
This is a group for anyone that seeks to explore & connect with nature through sensory awareness and mindfulness practices. Forest bathing is a slow walk through the natural environment with intentions to slow down, awaken your senses, be present, and heal body and mind. Forest bathing started in 1982 as Shinrin-yoku (in Japan), and is simply the experience of immersing ourselves in nature. Proven health benefits (from medical and neuroscience research) include significant stress reduction, boosted immune function, improved mood, reduced fatigue, increased creativity…among others.

Be prepared with sturdy shoes on your feet, water and a small notebook in your bag, a child’s curious and open attitude! Consider appropriate clothing for the weather. We will explore our six senses and exercise mindfulness and sensory awareness. No electronics or pets – this is your special two hours to sink into your connection with self, others and Mother Nature…please be respectful of the process. We will cover roughly 0.5-1.5 miles sometimes along trails on unlevel terrain. Your guide is Mindy Schlimgen, founder of Awareness With Nature, LLC, offering individual resiliency/nature-based coaching and group workshops on numerous topics.
